When not having fun flying tours for San Diego Sky Tours, Barry is still living and breathing aviation. As the CEO and co-owner of the leading supplier of online pilot training, he guides the company’s strategy and growth and appears as an on-camera instructor and subject matter expert in the company’s video courses.
Barry has been flying for over 40 years. He is an experienced Flight Instructor and holds an ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) certificate with a Falcon Jet type rating. Over the years, Barry has logged over 3,200 hours of flight time in 45 types of airplanes, including float planes and ski planes in Alaska. Most recently he has also become a helicopter pilot. Barry especially enjoys flying his company’s Falcon 10 jet with his co-owners and lately also with his wife, Virginie, who is also a San Diego Sky Tours pilot. But, as much fun as it is flying a hot, swept-wing French business jet, when asked what airplane Barry likes best, his answer is usually still…the open-cockpit Great Lakes biplane. It is simply the best way he has found to share the beauty of flight with others.
